Statement of Purpose

Chickasaw County Home Care is dedicated to

• Assisting Chickasaw County residents to be independent
• Protecting children and adults in situations of possible abuse or neglect
• Helping families stay together
• Preventing or delaying inappropriate institutionalization

Vision

To promote independence and prevent or reduce institutionalization, to those who are acute or chronically ill, elderly or disabled. To support those in need of child/adult protective care.

Administration

The Agency Director is responsible to the Chickasaw County Board of Supervisors, State Department of Public Health, and Hawkeye Valley Area Agency on Aging. The Agency Director is responsible for implementing the program budget and all policy decisions. Support staff is responsible for secretarial duties, accounting, and computer support services for the agency. The Home Care Aide is a trained and supervised paraprofessional who provides services which range from basic housekeeping to complex personal care.
