CHICKASAW COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH NURSING SERVICE has been providing home health
care to residents of Chickasaw county since 1970.
The CHICKASAW COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH NURSING DEPARTMENT is located in New
Hampton, Iowa, the north eastern portion of the state. We are approximately one
hour north of Waterloo, Iowa and 1 ˝ hours south of Rochester, Minn. Chickasaw
County’s population is around 13,000 in which it is a rural county.
You can find our office at 260 E Prospect Street in New Hampton, Iowa. We are
located 1 block east of the courthouse.
CHICKASAW COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH provides a variety of Nursing Services to
citizens living in Chickasaw County.
Chickasaw County Public Health Nursing believes that each client, family, and
the community have the right to high-quality, safe, and efficient home health
care provided by competent nursing professionals within the constraints of
available resources.
Members of the Board of Health are appointed by the Chickasaw County Board of
Supervisors. The five board members volunteer to serve a three-year term. The
board meets at the Chickasaw County Community Services Building, which is
located at 260 E Prospect St., New Hampton, IA.
The meetings are open to the public.
A local board of health supports public health by leading the effort to prevent
disease and improve health in the community. This includes physical, mental,
and environmental health.
Promoting and protecting the health of the public depends upon capable and
dedicated community leadership by the local Board of Health.
