CARE for KIDS
Also referred to as EPSDT (Early Periodic Screening, Diagnosis & Treatment)
Care for Kids services are free for children and teens under the age of 21 who
have a Medicaid (Title 19) card.
•Its purpose is to find and treat health problems before they become more
serious.
•For babies because they can’t tell you if they are sick. If your child needs
an exam before starting day care, Care for Kids can help
•For older children because they can have health problems without showing any
signs. Care for Kids can also provide the physical your child needs to start
school or go to camp.
•For teens and young adults when they need information about body changes and
birth control. Care for Kids can help teens learn to make good choices that
will help them stay healthy in the years ahead. Care for Kids exams can be used
to meet job requirements and for sports physicals. Young parents under the age
of 21 who have a Medicaid card can also use Care for Kids services.

*Immunizations
*Regular vision and hearing checkups
*Regular dental checkups
