Registered nurses from Chickasaw County Public Health provide skilled home nursing care for people who have an illness or have been recently hospitalized.

A Registered Nurse Will:

***Provide under your physician’s orders, special treatments, dressing changes, wound cares, injections, catheter or colostomy cares, IV site care. Special feedings, draw blood tests.
***Do a Physical assessment to determine individual needs.
***Teach and help families to understand their illness, diet, medications, and doctor’s orders.
***Supervise Home Health Aides providing care.
***Coordinate all services required by the client with referrals made to different agencies in the community.
***Keep physicians updated on your recovery.
***Help you return to your independent lifestyle.
