The lifeline of a deputy is the Dispatcher. This lifeline for the Chickasaw
County Sheriff's Office is through the Chickasaw County Communication Center
located in New Hampton, IA.
Chickasaw County Communications provides dispatch services for:
- Chickasaw County Sheriff's Office
- New Hampton Police Department
- Nashua Police Department
- All EMS, Resuce, and Fire Departments in Chickasaw County
The dispatchers in Chickasaw County also serve as Jailers. Besides answering
911 and all the other phone lines, they are required to feed the prisoners, give
them their medications, and attend to their needs.
The Chickasaw County Communications Center is funded by the participating
agencies through a 28E agreement. It is staffed by a dedicated and experienced
group of professional dispatch personnel.
