COUNTY BOARD MINUTES

NOVEMBER 19 & 20, 2007

 

The Board convened on Monday, November 19, 2007 at 9:30 AM with a quorum present: Pickar, Huegel, Boge, Mattke. Schueth was absent.  The meeting was called to order by Chairman Pickar. Mail was opened and distributed.

 

Motion by Boge, Seconded by Huegel, to approve agenda for November 19 & 20, 2007.  Four Ayes, with Motion Carried.

 

Motion by Boge, Seconded by Mattke, to approve meeting minutes of November 12 & 13, 2007. Roll Call: Four Ayes. Motion Carried.

 

CPC Sheila Kobliska met with the Board for CPC and targeted case management updates.  Recommendation of appointment of Kathy Coil was named to the INRCOG Regional Transit Commission Additional update included Cedar Valley Mental Health Center provider contract rate changes due to new regulations that no longer allows for client co-pays.

 

Assistant County Engineer John Murray met with the Board to discuss road departmental activities. Updates included North Washington bridge progress and foreman meeting minutes review.

 

Ken Rasing, EMS Coordinator, met with the Board to update the recently held meeting of the Chickasaw County Ambulance Council.   Also present were Jim Cook, Chickasaw County Ambulance Service, Sheriff Marty Larsen and Chief Dispatcher Barb Hemesath. Several concerns were expressed including dispatch and ambulance out-of-service issues.  Discussion is ongoing before the Council comes to resolution of the issues.

 

Motion by Boge, Seconded by Huegel, to adjourn at 12:10 PM.  Four Ayes, with Motion Carried.

 

The Board convened on Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at 9:30 AM with a quorum present:  Pickar, Huegel, Boge, Mattke. Schueth was absent. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Pickar. Mail was opened and distributed.

 

Board members proceeded to discuss the joint Pathways and Chickasaw County building concept. 

The value of Chickasaw County grant sponsorship and $100,000 match funding toward office lease space was decided, with no rent for 15 years lease and with right of first refusal for future negotiation.    

 

Ambulance services were discussed with Sheriff Marty Larsen and EMS Coordinator Ken Rasing.

 

Motion by Boge, Seconded by Huegel, to adjourn at 12:30 PM.  Four Ayes, with Motion Carried.
