COUNTY BOARD MINUTES
FEBRUARY 4 & 5, 2008
The Board convened on Monday, February 4, 2008 at with a quorum present: Boge, Pickar, Schueth.Huegel was present at . Mattke was absent. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Boge. Mail was opened and distributed.
Motion by Pickar, Seconded by Schueth, to approve agenda for February 4 & 5, 2008, with addition of landfill motion.Three Ayes, with Motion Carried.
Ken Rasing met with the Board for review FY2008-09 Sanitarian and Heritage Budgets.
The Board received and filed Revenue Reports of Emergency Management and Sanitarian for January 2008.
Motion by Schueth, Seconded by Huegel, to approve meeting minutes of January 28 & 29, 2008. Roll Call: Four Ayes.Motion Carried.
CountyEngineer Dusten Rolando met with the Board to discuss road departmental activities, with the primary focus being the union negotiations
Motion by Schueth, Seconded by Pickar, to receive and place on file the Floyd-Mitchell-Chickasaw Solid Waste Management Agency audit statements dated September 30, 2007. Roll Call: Four Ayes. Motion Carried.
The Board allowed claims.
Jack Lipovac, representing HR OneSource, met with the Board to discuss union salary proposals.
Teamsters Union members Barb Hemesath, Marty Hemann and Reed Palo were also present to present the Sheriff Department proposals.Kevin McCombs, Teamsters did not attend.

County Department Head requests for used bookcases from the Courthouse law library were approved.Remaining bookcases and steel shelving will be offered to the public thru sealed bids.
Motion by Huegel, Seconded by Schueth, to offer wooden bookcases and steel shelving for sale to the public, by receiving sealed bids to be opened on February 25, 2008 at 11:00 AM.Roll Call: Four Ayes. Motion Carried.
Alta Vista Mayor Gerald Pickar met with the Board to present the Alta Vista Fire Station funding request to the Board for project consideration.The request proposed would be funded from the CountyBetterment portion of the local option sales tax.
The Board allowed claims.
Motion by Huegel, Seconded by Pickar, to approve nursing departmental policy revision, as presented by the administrator and approved by the Board of Health. Roll Call: Four Ayes. Motion Carried.
Health wellness screening services and costs proposals through Mercy Healthcare System were reviewed, without the Board reaching consensus for setting the employees and spouses program testing parameters. The topic will be continued to next week’s session.
The Board received and filed IDNR Manure Management Annual Update for Bill and Tod Elliott (ID#58726) located in Section 20 of Fredericksburg Township at 2969 240th St., Fredericksburg.

Supervisor Pickar and Auditor Babcock attended lunch with senior citizens at Chickasaw Centre.
