COUNTY BOARD MINUTES
NOVEMBER 28 & 29, 2011
The Board convened on Monday, November 28, 2011 with all members present:Pickar, Byrne, Holthaus, Andersen, and Zoll.The meeting was called to order by Chairman Pickar. Mail was opened and distributed.
Motion by Andersen, Seconded by Zoll to approve agenda for November 28 & 29, 2011.Roll Call: All Ayes. Motion Carried.
Motion by Andersen, Seconded by Holthaus to approve board minutes of November 21 & 22, 2011.Roll Call:All Ayes.Motion Carried.
AssistantCounty Attorney Mark Huegel met with the Board to discuss the Troyna Property.Discussion followed.The Board will contact Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation and also the Conservation Director Brian Moore regarding this agreement. AssistantCounty Attorney Mark Huegel will meet with the Board at the next meeting for an update.
The County Engineer Dusten Rolando met with the Board to discuss road departmental activities.Topics included:maintenance and service of vehicles; maintenance of gravel roads; ditch cleaning; driveway work on 160th North of New Hampton; repair signs as needed; reports in the computer; sign survey; snow fence being put up; blades out pulling rock in; bridge repair, repair list; brushing in various locations; survey, bridges, north of Lawler; accident report, bridge, truck totaled; uniform price quotes, etc.
CountyEngineer Dusten Rolando also discussed a residentís concern regarding crowning of the road and also discussed the rural road infrastructure fund.
Motion by Andersen, Seconded by Byrne to acknowledge the resignation of Kay Hartson at Part time schedule dispatcher/jailer effective January 31, 2012.Roll Call: All Ayes.Motion Carried.

AssistantCounty Attorney Mark Huegel and Conservation Director Brian Moore met with the Board to discuss the Troyna Property.Ross Baxter with the Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation talked to the Board regarding the agreement and the Board requested to have an extension until March 2012 on the agreement.The Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation will send a written extension to the agreement.
The Board received and filed IDNR Manure Management Annual Update for Willow Creek-Dale Reicks (ID#61668) in Section 30 of Jacksonville Township located at 2245 120th Street, New Hampton, IA 50659.
The Board received and filed IDNR Manure Management Annual Update for Ron Hinz (ID#57706 in Section 18 of Deerfield Township located at 1054 155th Street, Charles City, IA 50616.
