AUGUST 30 & 31, 2004
The Board convened on Monday, August 30, 2004 with all members present: Boge, Huegel, Schueth, Pickar, Mattke. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Boge. Mail was opened and distributed.
Board members proceed to draw lots for the General Election ballot candidate listing for non partisan offices, required as per Iowa Code 49.31 (2).
Motion by Huegel, Seconded by Schueth, to certify ballot listing to Commissioner of Elections for Soil and Water Commission, drawn as follows: James Reicks; Kim Leichtman and Randy Miller and Chickasaw County Extension Council, drawn as follows: Tim Thorson; Tanya Johnson, Annette Dietz; Grant Anderson and Susan Jo Anderson.
Motion by Schueth, Seconded by Pickar, to approve Board Minutes of August 23 & 24, 2004. Roll Call: All Ayes. Motion Carried.
CountyEngineer Dusten Rolando met with Board to discuss road departmental activities. Doug Welton was present to update the Board of the IDOT request for Linear Referencing System through a proposed 28E Agreement with the County, which will be acted upon next week.
Motion by Schueth, Seconded by Mattke, to approve and authorize Chairman Signature on three permits for Hawkeye Tri County Electric Cooper to place overhead poles and lines in county right of way along 170th Street, 180th Street, Newell Avenue and Odessa Avenue. Roll Call: All Ayes. Motion Carried.
Chairman Boge was absent at to attend a funeral.
Remaining Board members Huegel, Schueth, Pickar and Mattke adjourned the meeting at and toured the Heritage Residence.
The Board convened on Tuesday, August 31, 2004 at with a quorum present: Huegel, Schueth Mattke. Boge was absent, and Pickar was present at .The meeting was called to order by Vice-Chairman Huegel. Mail was opened and distributed.
CountyAttorney Pat Wegman met with the Board discuss his increasing work load and policy issues.
The Board received and filed Sanitation and Emergency Management Reports of August 2004.
Motion by Schueth, Seconded by Pickar, to adjourn at Roll Call: Four Ayes. Motion Carried.
