COUNTY BOARD MINUTES
OCTOBER 4 & 5, 2004
The Board convened on Monday, October 4, 2004 with all members present: Boge, Huegel, Schueth, Pickar, Mattke. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Boge. Mail was opened and distributed.
John Murray, County Engineering Assistant met with the Board to discuss departmental activities.
The foreman report was reviewed. Variations in spot rock pricing and dust control for residents along truck haul routes on detour route on V56 were discussed.
The Board received and filed Sanitation Revenue Report for First Quarter, FY 2004-05, Revenue Report of
September 2004, Emergency Management Report for First Quarter, FY 2004-05, and Revenue Report of September 2004.
Motion by Huegel, Seconded by Schueth, to approve Board Minutes of September 27 & 28, 2004. Roll Call: All Ayes. Motion Carried.
Marty Larsen, Sheriff, and Todd Miller, 1st Deputy, met with the Board to propose and review law enforcement contract with cities increases effective FY 2005-06. Discussion followed.Kevin Reick updated Board members of drug analysis and enforcement training he is currently attending.

The Board received and filed IDNR Administrative Approval of Manure Management Plan for High Point, Inc. (ID#60832) located in Section 13 of New Hampton Township and Kurppy, LTD (ID#61912) located in Section 20 of Stapleton Township.
Jennifer Knutson, representing Chickasaw-Mitchell Case Management, updated client services.
Motion by Schueth, Seconded by Huegel, to approve the Pinicon liquor license and Sunday sales permit. Roll Call: All Ayes. Motion Carried.
Dusten Rolando, CountyEngineer, briefed Board members regarding county dust control application of a county haul route. Recently applied asphalt millings overlaying granular surfaced roads were discussed.Two fleet vehicles purchased at IDOT auction were reviewed.
Sheila Kobliska, CPC, met with the Board to review administrative assistant employment applications.

Board members, Huegel, Schueth, Pickar, Mattke and Auditor Babcock attended lunch with Senior Citizens at Chickasaw Centre, with Jess Throndson, Heritage Administrator, speaking regarding Community Care provider services at the Heritage Residence.
