COUNTY BOARD MINUTES
JUNE 1 & 2, 2009
The Board convened on Monday, June 1, 2009 at 9:30 A.M. with all members present: Pickar, Boge, Holthaus, Andersen, and Mattke. Supervisor Boge left at 9:25 A.M. to attend funeral and returned at 10:15 A.M. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Pickar. Mail was opened and distributed.
Motion by Holthaus, Seconded by Mattke to approve agenda for June 1 & 2, 2009.
Roll Call: All Ayes. Motion Carried.
Motion by Andersen, Seconded by Boge to approve board minutes of May 25 & 26, 2009. Roll Call: All Ayes. Motion Carried.
Dave Gorman, Custodian met with the Board to discuss the fire extinguishers in the county buildings. Also discussed the removal of two trees on the courthouse grounds. Dave Gorman will get some proposals
and get back to the Board of Supervisors. Tabled the courthouse landscaping until a later date.
Motion by Andersen, Seconded by Holthaus to purchase nine fire extinguishers for the Courthouse
at $ 60.00 each from Tripoli Fire Extinguishers. Roll Call: All Ayes. Motion Carried.
Dusten Rolando, County Engineer met with the Board to discuss road departmental activities.
Also present was Donald Flick.
Donald Flick met with the Board to discuss putting more rock on the Deerfield Township Roads and the Cemetery Road. County Engineer informed the Board that the secondary road department is spot rocking county roads.
Judy Funk, representing Heartland Insurance Risk Pool met with the Board for a liability insurance
review and overview of the county’s insured schedules for property and equipment, with discussion
following.
Motion by Boge, Seconded by Andersen to approve and authorize Chairman signature on confirmation schedule and authorize FY 2009-2010 liability insurance renewal with Heartland Insurance Risk Pool.
Roll Call: All Ayes. Motion Carried.
Jeanne Heit, Homemaker Health Administrator and Jaci Miller, IDPH Community Health Consultant
met with the Board. Also present was Janice Feldman, member of the Local Board of Health.
Jaci Miller informed the board that there will be state reductions in FY 2010-11.
Ken Rasing met with the Board for departmental update. Also discussed a part time
Zoning administrator/assistant environmental health specialist position. Advertisement will be in
the papers during the week of June 8th. Application deadline June 22, 2009.
Received and filed E-911 Revenue Report for May, 2009.

Motion by Holthaus, Seconded by Andersen to adjourn at 1:00 PM. Roll Call: All Ayes. Motion Carried.
The Board of Supervisors and Auditor toured the Nashua Welcome Center, Big Four Fair Facilities,
GMT and Old Bradford Pioneer Village Gift Shop and Museum on Tuesday, June 2, 2009.
