COUNTY BOARD MINUTES
FEBRUARY 8 & 9, 2010
The Board convened on Monday, February 8, 2010 with all members present: Mattke, Boge, Holthaus, Andersen and Pickar. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Boge. Mail was opened and distributed.
Motion by Holthaus, Seconded by Andersen to approve agenda for February 8 & 9, 2010. All Ayes. Motion Carried.
Motion by Andersen, Seconded by Mattke to approve board minutes of February 1 & 2, 2010. All Ayes. Motion Carried.
Kurt Croell with Croell Redi-Mix and Tom Schmitt with Concrete Foundation, Inc. met with the Board to discuss upcoming road projects. Also present were John Murray, Assistant County Engineer and Dusten Rolando. Discussion followed.
County Engineer Dusten Rolando met with the Board to discuss road departmental activities. Topics included: maintenance and services of vehicles, snow removal, etc.
Kathy Babcock, Public Health Nurse Administrator, met with Board to discuss Medicare Certification.
Budget discussion.
Motion by Andersen, Seconded by Holthaus to adjourn the meeting at 12.25 PM Roll Call: All Ayes. Motion Carried.
The Board convened on Tuesday, February 9, 2010 with all members present: Boge, Holthaus, Andersen, Mattke, and Pickar The meeting was called to order by Chairman Boge. Mail was opened and distributed.
Gerald Tieskotter, President of the Chickasaw County Pioneer Cemetery Commission met with the Board for an update of the past year’s activities and to request FY 2010-2011 budget allocation.
Board members proceeded to canvass the Fredericksburg School Special Election held on February 2, 2010.
Motion by Mattke, Seconded by Pickar to approve canvass of Fredericksburg School Special Election and authorize Commissioner of Elections to certify results and record in the Permanent Election Register. Roll Call: All Ayes. Motion Carried.
The Board recessed at 11:45 AM for lunch.
The Chickasaw County Council on Aging met with the Board to discuss Chickasaw Centre facility at 1:00 PM at the Chickasaw Centre.
The Board reconvened at 2:00 PM in the Boardroom.
The Board reviewed the FY 2010-2011 county budget.
Motion by Holthaus, Seconded by Andersen to set public hearing for the FY 2010-2011 county budget for March 8, 2010 at 10:30 AM. Roll Call: All Ayes. Motion Carried.
Motion by Andersen, Seconded by Pickar to adjourn the meeting at 3:45 PM. Roll Call: All Ayes. Motion Carried.
